End of Year Teacher Gift Guide
No matter how many times I tell you, your child’s teacher tells you or your child’s school tells you that you don’t need to buy your child’s teacher an end of year gift, chances are you probably still will! But I will say it once again, teachers do not expect gifts. We are getting to do a job that we love! However, any end of year teacher presents that parents or families do get for us, I know we greatly, greatly appreciate your kindness.
It can be tricky thinking of an end of year teacher present ideas for your child’s teacher. You have 101 other things to check off your list, getting ready for the summer holidays, booking your child into summer schemes and preparing for sports day. One of the best end of year teacher gifts uk are personalised teacher gifts. The feeling we teachers get when we see our ‘teacher name’ on a pen, bag or cup is just amazing! It used to be a real chore and expense to get things personalised but thanks to websites like Etsy and Amazon, it is super easy to get anything personalised! You can get personalised bags, pens, t-shirts, candles and even personalised vases! I have put together a mixture of personalised gifts which could be perfect for an end of year gift.

Next on the list is a teacher planner. You are probably thinking this is one of the most terrible end of year teacher ideas! Getting a teacher a planner for the next school year when this one isn’t even over! Even though the summer hasn’t even started yet and the final term isn’t finished, we’re TEACHERS which means chances are we are starting to plan for the next school year already! Chances are the one we got for Christmas is on its last legs by this point, someone else has stolen it from the staffroom (even though it was personalised) or we just like to have a new mug or bottle for every day of the week! July and August are the months when teachers unwind, have time for long soaks in the bath and can use those smelly moisturisers that students usually hate the smell of! And even though it’s not a trip to the Galgorm spa, an at-home spa box is a fantastic gift for teachers this time of the year.

There are some lovely fresh and fruity summer fragrances which are guaranteed to bring summer vibes to your child’s teacher. Candles, wax melts and diffusers are great ideas for teachers all year round as the fragrances in stores are continuously changing for the seasons.
Vouchers or Experiences
If all else fails and you have no idea what to get your child’s teacher and you don’t think they’ll fancy anything in my gift guide, you can always get them a voucher or experience which they can use over the summer holidays. A voucher to a clothes shop so they can get new outfits for their summer holiday. A voucher to a local restaurant where they can have a relaxing night out. A message from your child and family telling their teacher how much you appreciate everything you have done for their child is truly heart-warming. Most teachers just do their job without even expecting a thank you, it’s just the way we are. But getting a card showing how much your work is appreciated, well there’s not much that can beat that.
